About Us
The objective of Brent Youth Volunteers is to promote youth volunteering in Brent, Harrow and Ealing. We are committed to developing volunteering which promotes youth leadership and aims at the status of active citizenship. Brent Youth Volunteers provides an entrepreneurial approach and we believe that the creation of cultural capital is a very powerful tool in creating community cohesion. We have been running projects from Alperton School for the last eight years. It is one of 152 projects across the country who are funded by the youth volunteering charity v as part of vinvolved , a national youth volunteering programme which aims to inspire half a million more young people to volunteer in England. The funding helps to develop projects which promote youth leadership and active citizenship.
We began in 2000 as Brent Millennium Volunteers (Brent MV) and since then have worked with thousands of youth volunteers within Brent, Ealing and Harrow and have fostered strong partnerships both in the local community, across London and nationwide.
Our staff:
Our core staff are Eileen Sabur , Oliver Mannion and Pamela Gilmore and we are proud to be supported by a large body of freelance professionals from a wide range of backgrounds.

"Its amazing, you meet so many people, learn so many skills and develop both personally and socially.” Prajesh
“I would highly recommend it. It is an excellent and enjoyable way of learning new skills and meeting new people whilst having fun!” Jayshree
Funding enables us to continue offering new and exciting opportunities and as well as being awarded funding from v we have also received funding from among other sources: BT, the DfES, PAYP, local businesses, the Local Network Fund, the Youth Opportunity Fund and the Learning and Skills Council.
